We're building it in the open: a small group is already using the app while bits of it get reworked every week. That's deliberate, but you should know what you're walking into.

New Year's resolutions are bullshit. Go on, prove it.

Pick the thing you actually want to be doing and stick a simple goal on it: this many times a week, done. Other apps are there for graphs and optimisation - GroepsDruk is there to get you started. And you prove you're keeping it up with a photo or video check-in. Your friends are the jury. So watch who you add :).

Swiping

Why swipe strangers when you can swipe your friends?

You judge every check-in a friend posts: right is a yes, left is a no - looking away isn't an option. Or swipe to an emoji and it lands straight in your chat.

Dragging to the left turns the screen red and puts a cross on it: this check-in is not approved.

Gallery

Every check-in lands in your gallery. No save button.

None of this is public. Your check-in is visible to your friends for 36 hours, and after that it is yours alone: lined up by month, with the goal stuck to it.

The photos and videos themselves stay for 42 days on a free account; the fact that you checked in stays for as long as your account does. A premium option is coming that keeps the images too - right now one person is paying the storage bill out of pocket, so something had to give.

Nudge

A nudge isn't a message. It's a shove.

If someone leaves their check-in sitting there, you give them a nudge: you tap a ready-made line and it lands on their phone. Reactions to check-ins land in that same chat, so the conversation is about what you're doing instead of about nothing.

Discover is still locked. That's where events, communities and stories from outside your circle will turn up. The core has to be right first, the rest comes after. That's the order, not a promise.

The DNA

From goals to friendships.

Right now GroepsDruk is still about your goals and the friends who keep you at it. The next step is connecting: doing things together, actually going to see each other. And who knows, one day inviting people you barely know with the same goals to give something a go. No algorithm, no company serving it up to you - just real people.

GroepsDruk is just getting started. So: cool people only.

We're starting small - one builder, his own pocket money, no growth hacks. The only way in is an invite from someone who's already in. Don't know anyone? Beg @_maxvk_ via Instagram.

The invites screen in the app: a QR code with the GroepsDruk logo in the middle, how many invites you have left, and buttons to copy or share the link.

You share your QR or your link, they scan it and they're in. As friends straight away, because otherwise you're standing there on your own.

GroepsDruk runs in your browser, at groepsdruk.app: phone, tablet or laptop. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app, notifications included. On top of that the real app is on its way, and that will be the way to use GroepsDruk, so we are not in the App Store or the Play Store yet. Joining is free and you have to be 16 or older.
